It´s a TESLA ROADSTER of the U.S. company TESLA MOTORS, Inc. General info about Tesla vehicles can be found at www.TeslaMotors.com 02 What´s the value of the vehicle and what model is it? Depending of the country/continent in which the winner lives and the destination to where it will be delivered, the prices we found out were slighlty different. In Europe the TESLA Roadster is called „Signature Edition“ and costs approx. 120.000 EURO (incl extras and taxes). It´s probably a slighlty different version of the one in U.S.A./C or the versions in some other countries, and due to law restrictions. In the U.S.A. the car is available from "only" 120.000 US-DOLLAR. Howsoever, it´s made for another market. If the winner comes from outside Europe or outside the USA/Canada, he´ll receive the US-Version of a maximum of 120.000 US-DOLLAR. If the winner comes from Europe we calculate 120.000 EURO. As there is LEFT- & RIGHT-driving on this planet, THE WINNER CAN DECIDE what version he likes to have, what extras he needs, colour, etc. This can be done together with the winner via Internet/telephone or if nessessary and if possible also in a nearby branch of TESLA (in Europe e.g. in Munich, Monaco or London). 03 Can I have a look at the car? TESLA-vehicles are currently available upon ordering only and will be manufatured individually depending of the wishes of each client! That´s what makes this car so special! In other words, the car can only be ordered as soon as we know the winner, and to make sure the car fits the winners needs, such as... 1. the country he lives in (depending LEFT- or RIGHT-steering ) 2. and that the winner will be the first owner. Please consider, that there aren´t only participants from YOUR Country, but also from other countries around the world where people drive on the other side. Therefore the car can only be available after all tickets have been given away! Otherwise it wouldn´t make sense for the winner, e.g. someone in Germany or Austria, to hand him out a right-steered car for the british or australian market. Everything else wouldn´t be in the sense of each participant or of the winner. If you want to see a TESLA-Roadster live, you can do so in a Tesla-branch. You can find information on the website of the manufaturer www.TeslaMotors.com. Registrierung & Clubmitgliedschaft... 04 Who can participate in the raffling? Anyone who is at least 18 at the time of drawing. 05 Why a club membership? Participation is only possible when you register as a member (without any obligations). The member ID allows you to register only once and order voucher/tickets anytime again. As well for us it is easier to identify the correct user and to avoid unnessessary humanly mistakes. (twisters in numbers etc, or a forgotten id in the payment textfield). With the first payment of 25 Euro your member ID will be valid and you are eligible to order further FREECAR-vouchers for only 20 Euro!! Howsoever, with registration and first payment you will also get 1 FREE FREECAR-voucher and 1 FREE ticket id! You generally dont pay for the ticket-id itself , but you will receive a ticket id for FREE with every FREECAR-voucher you paid for! This way nobody has a disadvantage! In Cooperation with Free-Car.de we have received 11500 FREECAR-Vouchers to special conditions and add a ticket id to each voucher as a gift!! We hope you appreciate this, as we think this is fair to all. You can keep or resell the voucher, up to you... More about the FREECAR-Voucher. 06 Registration You have to register as a club member. Tell us your favorite ticket ids (as long as available, and until we switch the project to an automatic system) You will then get a member ID (eg MID-12345) and can order and pay tickets. 07 How will member id´s and raffle-ticket-ids assigned? Member-IDs will be assigned in order from MID00001 - MID11500. In the beginning you can choose your favorite ticket IDs. As soon as our automatic system is ready to go online, the numbers will be given away by our computer in order of available numbers. 11500 ticket-IDs will be assigned from T00001 - T11500 , eventually additional numbers, if payments fail. 08 What happens with my personal data? All data will be kept 100% internal We do not forward any email or other data! FREECAR - What is that...? 09 What is a FREECAR-Voucher and what has it to do with the raffling itself? The FREECAR-Vouchers are a highlight, basicaly an extra for you! Infos can be found here or detailed on Free-Car.de. 10 Can I receive FREECAR-Vouchers and tickets separately? No, ticket ids are available only within this project! They are exclusively available for members. If you don´t want a raffle ticket you may order the FREECAR-Vouchers on the Free-Car.de web. However, why paying more and even refuse an option to win a TESLA? Payment options & Shipping... 11 Payment options See left or here 12 Shipping of vouchers and ticket ids FREECAR-Vouchers will be sent by regular postal service after payment is received. They will be sent weekly by our authorized partner FREE-CAR.de from Germany. Please allow approx. 3-4 days of shipping time depending of the country where you live. There is no influence in the "Deutsche Post". All shipping costs are already included. 13 Incomplete payments Ticket IDs are valid only when payments are complete (1.Voucher 25 Euro / all additional 20 Euro)! Incomplete payments are not considered when drawing the winner. However, we´d inform you if it happens and you can correct it. Please note any bank charges! 14 Order Please ONLY register and order if you are 100% sure to pay within 10 days! The time should be enough. Otherwise you may take someone else´s chance! 15 By when has the payment to be done at the latest (depending validity of IDs)? Payment should be done within 10 days with PAYPAL or banking (incl purpose: MID, Ticket-ID). If payments take longer than 30 days the ID will automatically be invalid! These numbers can then be assigned to someone else! 16 What happens if all tickets are assigned but I have already paid for a ticket? Thats impossible! We have a limit of ids in our system when ordering. No more than 11500 tickets can be assigned! If you try to order more than available tickets, you will receive a message on the display and you will be on hold "Stand by" for the time someone else would not pay within the 30 days... Whoever is on the stand by list has an additional chance. But to satisfy you: just in case it would happen, you would get the money back. Implementation of the draw and selection the winner 17 Will the number of members and tickets be published? We sometimes mention the actual numbers in our logbook. 18 What happens if the project would be aborted? The draw is garantueed by 100%! We won´t abort it under no circumstances and will finish the project until all vouchers are sold! However, just to explain: a legal claim to the draw would not be possible since each participant will receive a fair return for his money, something he can even resell. In any case, we are very interested in completing the draw, as we have plannings for a follow-up action, which is probably several times more spectacular than anything you have ever experienced in raffles before! 19 When does the raffling end? Planned is April 2010. But there is no 100% deadline. If all tickets are gone before, we draw the winner before. If later, then we´ll do so later. Depending also a bit how you participate and recommend us. But the draw is garantueed. We´ll tell the date early enough on the web. 20 Where will the draw take place? Eventually in a hotel/restaurant in Iowa, USA or in Germany. We´ll decide that shortly before drawing and tell you in our logbook. 21 How will be drawn? We´ll do it 100% transparent with proof of video and witnesses! You as a member are invited to participate! If possible we do it live on the internet via webcam Skype or Yahoo messenger. See more in chances. 22 Do I have to participate when drawing the winner? No of course not, but you are invited! 23 Winning notification We inform the winner by Email or the known data. The lucky number will also be mentioned on our web with name and city. The last name will not be displyed to protect privacy unless the winner agrees. With participation we kindly ask to make first and last name and eventually a picture of you public, may be also in media such as tv or newspapers. However, you as the winner decide it but we were very thankful for this cooperation! 24 Was passiert wenn ein Teilnehmer bzw. der Gewinner nicht erreichbar ist? Der Teilnehmer haftet für die Korrektheit seiner persönlichen Angaben selbst. Alle Angaben wie Name, Adresse, Email sind zwingend notwendig um den Gewinner kontakten zu können! Nur so ist auch der Versand der FREECAR-Voucher möglich! Ist eine Kontaktaufnahme mit dem Teilnehmer im Fall eines Gewinns nicht innerhalb 30 Tage nach Verlosung möglich, verfällt der Anspruch auf den Gewinn und es wird eine neue Ziehung durchgeführt. Then go ahead now! 26 Media Media is wanted for reports in all countries of the world to speed up the project! have you got any personal contacts to the media (such as TV, newspapers, radio, internet)? Then help us, eg with editorial reports in newspapers. 27 When will the roadster be ordered and when will the winner receive it? The car will be ordered upon consultation with the winner at Tesla Motors and paid completely by us. The winner gets as much time as he needs to find the perfect fittings. After ordering it may takes 4-5 months until delivering it by TeslaMotors.com. 28 What cost will the winner have and where does he get the car? Generally the winner will have no cost! The roadster will be completely paid off by us and then handed out to the winner as the first owner! The pick up location is flexible and depends of where the winner lives: - Should the winner live in EUROPE, he can get it in a TESLA-branch, e.g. in Munich, Monaco or London. - Should the winner live in USA/Canada, he´ll receive it in a closest branch in North America. - Should the winner live in ex EUROPE/USA/C (e.g. Australia, South America, etc), all costs for transportation and insurances (such as freight container, or air transportation) are covered up to 2500 US-Dollars additionally to the mentioned value of the car. Any other possible costs are the responsibilty of the new owner. For traveling to/from the pick up location (e.g. a Tesla-branch), and for general costs such as local fees, taxes, insurance, maintainance etc. are the responsibility of the new owner. If you cannot pick up the vehicle personally, the roadster can alternatively be transported to you upon request and extra costs (e.g. if high distances apply, due to the 400km/225mls-battery limit). Howsoever, this is flexible and upon consultation with the winner to reduce all thos applying costs as much as possible. 29 Will it be documented publicly when the winner receives the car? It´s planned to document the handover by video if possible to us as it depends of the place where the winner comes from. (we are located in USA & EU and therefore would probably not fly down to New Zealand or Australia just for a video, the effort would be exaggerated). The winner may takes care of making a video by himself and sends it to us to make it public for all other participants on this web. Within EU or USA it´s probably possible that one of us will appear personally to handover the car as we´d also like to experience that great moment! 30 What law is valid for this raffling? US law is valid. 31 Is the project legal and does it fall under the law of gaming? Of course it´s 100% legal! In Iowa, USA it´s generally allowed to run raffles under certain circumstances. Howsoever, as in our case, we sell only a clubmembership and a specific item (here the FREECAR-vouchers), so there is no objection to an additional raffle of a further free item (he raffle tickets). As there is no cost at all for the raffle tickets, it´s our personal and private decision what we raffle in our club together with our members, what we give away as gifts and how we organize such an event to raffle something that is free. Therefore we do not fall. Da es sich in unserem Fall aber lediglich um die Registrierung einer Clubmitgliedschaft und den Verkauf eines Artikels handelt (hier die FREECAR-Voucher), spricht nichts gegen eine zusätzliche interne Verlosung eines weiteren kostenlosen Gegenstandes (die Lose). Da für das Los also keine Kosten anfallen, ist es auch unsere private Entscheidung, was wir intern und privat in unserem Club mit unseren Clubmitgliedern veranstalten, was wir verschenken, und wie wir eine Veranstaltung und eine Verlosung verschenkter Artikel durchführen. So we are not subject to the mandatory raffle laws as it would be in the case of an exclusive sale of tickets! A legal action is therefore ruled out in all respects. Interested persons who wish to join us, are all welcome. It is certainly one of the most useful variants of the draw! 32 Announcements & News? Actual news will be made public in our logbook.
